RACE AROUND POLAND - DAY 1

A day has passed since the start of the Race Around Poland. Time to sum up the day. Finally, 16 competitors from the RAP Challenge 300 distance and 50 from the 900-3600 distances appeared on the route.

All the cyclists from the RAP Challenge are already at the finish line.

The women's podium looks as follows:

1. Weronika Ściubisz 10:38:47

2. Urszula Kuk (last year's winner) 11:27:43

3. Anna Szymańska 18:02:04

Weronika has therefore improved her last year's result by over 3 hours and set a record for the route among women. Ula also improved last year's result, but it was enough to take second place.

Among men:

1. Damian Pazikowski 8:11:13

2. Łukasz Lisowski 9:37:45

3. Mariusz Guz 9:44:14

Damian improved (by the way, his own) the course record by 46 seconds. However, it must be taken into account that this year the course was 8 km shorter.

The competitors covered the first part of the course - to Czemierniki - with the wind, and on the way back the same wind significantly reduced the speed of the ride.

In the 900km competition, Tomasz Spyra is in the lead, ahead of Paulina Gajos and Jacek Adamczyk

Andrii Goncharow is clearly in the lead at 1800km

In the World Championship category, i.e. 3600km unsupported, we have 3 rainbow jerseys to give away and for now the situation is as follows:

M50-: Cezary Wójcik has a 50min advantage over Jakub Tomasik (defending title)

M50+: Piotr Mos gains 1h over Witold Kania

M50-: Lisa Brömmel has a 3h advantage over Maria Łuszczek
