Press Release: Less than two months to the III World Ultra Cycling Championships

Warsaw, Poland – on the starting lists of Race Around Poland, competitors from several
countries around the world and from four continents!

Less than two months separate us from the start of the III World Ultra Cycling Championships of
the World Ultra Cycling Association (WUCA) in the unsupported format. The World Championships
will be held for the third consecutive time during Race Around Poland – the longest and most
challenging ultra-cycling race in Poland, where cyclists will have to face, among other things, a route
of over 3,600 km and over 31,000 meters of elevation gain, passing through the most beautiful
corners of the country, which they must complete within a time limit of 12 days.
The starting lists again include titled competitors from around the world, so the competition for the
championship jerseys promises to be exceptionally exciting.
However, RAP is not only the crown distance and the full loop around Poland. Anyone interested
can choose one of several distances (300, 900, and 1800 km), which can be completed alone, or in
a 2 or 4-person relay, using support or riding solo – registration is still ongoing and you can sign
up for all event distances only until May 31, 2025.
The race will start on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from Warsaw and will last 12 days (time limit for the
longest distance). The current position of the competitors can be tracked online on the dotwatching
platform provided on the organizer's website: www.racearoundpoland.pl.
The organizer of RAP, the Race Around Poland Foundation, encourages physical activity and
discovering that cycling longer distances is accessible to almost everyone, regardless of age and
level of advancement. For interested cycling enthusiasts, it also offers participation in so-called
preparatory rides for the RAP Challenge 300 starting from the Bikeway.pl store in Wilanów every
Sunday starting from May 4th. On routes with gradually increasing distances from 70 to 250 km.
Under the patronage of Race Around Poland, evening training sessions on the so-called
"Copernicus Loop" have also been resumed on a very attractive and varied route in the center of
Warsaw's Old Town. Detailed information about these and other events can be found on the RAP
Facebook fan page.
It is worth remembering that Race Around Poland is not only the World Ultra Cycling
Championships but also a qualifying race for one of the most prestigious ultra-cycling events in the
world, Race Across America (RAAM), during which competitors traverse the USA from the west to
the east coast, covering a total of 4,800 km within a time limit of 12 days. During RAP, the current
World Ultra Cycling Champion – Aneta Lamik, a titled Polish competitor, earned her qualification to
participate in RAAM. To be able to face the grueling 4,800 km route across the continent as the first
Polish woman, she launched a fundraiser on the zrzutka.pl portal. You can support her
here:([https://zrzutka.pl/8mt82v](https://zrzutka.pl/8mt82v)). In the opposite direction, the titled
ultra-cyclist from the United States, Ingolf Micklisch, who completed RAAM in 2024, chose RAP as
his sports dream for 2025 and is also raising funds to realize it and compete on Polish asphalt. You
can support the ambitious American here:([https://www.gofundme.com/f/fund-a-cyclists-dreamrace-

“When we started Race Around Poland five years ago, we dreamed of creating an event that would
eventually attract competitors from all over Europe to Poland to show them the attractiveness of our
country as a destination for cyclists. Its diversity and beauty of landscapes from the mountains of the
south to the Baltic Sea coast. Today, we have competitors from four continents on the starting lists,
cyclists from India are coming to us for the second year in a row, and for the first time, we have a
competitor from the African continent! It is a great satisfaction.” said Remigiusz Siudziński, Race
Director, member of the RAP Foundation board, and the first Pole to complete RAAM in the solo
category.
“This is the first edition of Race Around Poland that we are organizing as a Foundation. It is a
testament to our commitment to the project and our desire to go beyond the framework of the ultracycling
race and take actions beyond it. The reactivated training sessions within the Copernicus Loop,
or the joint preparatory rides for the RAP Challenge organized by us, are not only sports events but
also our contribution to the popularization of cycling and the integration of the community, and this
is just the beginning, as we have many ideas for the future!” added Mateusz Przygodzki, President
of the RAP Foundation.
We invite all cycling enthusiasts and endurance sports fans to join us, join the ranks of competitors,
or cheer on the competitors during this unique event.
It is a unique opportunity to witness an amazing event and a display of endurance, skill, and
determination in an uncommon dimension.
