PARTICIPATION IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP ALSO WITH THE SUPPORT OF ONE CAR!

As Race Around Poland, we carefully listen to the voices coming from the riders' community and people interested in taking part in the event we are organising. When it is possible, we try to meet the expectations of those interested and take measures to adapt the race to the reported expectations. Next year's edition will be exceptional and the interest and response of the competitors is also exceptional. Thank you for all the feedback we have received!

This time, in response to numerous enquiries and requests from participants and interested parties, for the 2023 edition, during which the World Ultra Cycling Championships (WUCC) will also be held, we are changing the rules for participation in the category with support!

The new rules have been designed to ensure maximum safety for participants, while reducing the barrier of having to organise the support of two vehicles and 5 crew at the same time for the entire duration of the race. The rules have been consulted and agreed with the World UltraCycling Association (WUCA), which has also confirmed their validity for classification within the WUCC!

As of today, it is possible to register under the category with support (Supported), which in its new form includes the support of a participant with a minimum of 1 vehicle, and a minimum of 2 crew persons per vehicle, whereby:

1. A minimum of 2 persons per vehicle must hold at all times a valid licence to drive motor vehicles of the relevant category, and
2. The participant is supported at all times by a minimum of one vehicle, and two crew members meeting the above condition.

This means that if, for any reason (e.g. breakdown, or fortuitous accident), a competitor is deprived of the required minimum support (i.e. 1 vehicle + 2 crew members), he/she will be obliged to stop the competition and wait for the support to be replenished, and if it cannot be replenished (e.g. delivery of a new vehicle, or replenishment of the crew) he/she will be forced to leave the competition.

Another change, also as a result of comments and requests received from you, is to allow recumbent bikes moved solely by muscle power to compete!
